Manufacturers Recognize Vantage for Community Impact
LANSING — The Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) is proud to announce that Standish’s Vantage Plastics has been selected as the 2017 recipient of the MFG Community Impact Award. The MFG Community Impact Award is given to a company that has shown exemplary leadership in serving its community or state, and is an example of the involved and giving nature of manufacturers. The Vantage Plastics team will receive the award during the 2017 MFG Excellence Awards on November 9 at the Crowne Plaza West hotel in Lansing.
Vantage Plastics was selected by an independent panel of judges for its dedication to the surrounding community and ensuring that company success finds its way back to the local towns and cities that have supported it.
“The team at Vantage Plastics is like few you’ll find; from top-to-bottom, everyone who works there is dedicated to giving back to the community and making sure that the next generation is aware of what it means to be a manufacturer,” says Chuck Hadden, MMA president & CEO. “There is a responsibility that comes with being one of the largest manufacturers in Arenac County and Vantage never shies away from it. They raise money for local programs, work with community youth, offer vocational trainings and are part of local associations — no matter what they do, their love for community shines through.”
The MFG Excellence Awards is a first-of-its-kind gala event to promote the inspiring stories of Michigan’s manufacturing industry, the thousands of unique manufacturing companies across the state, the more than 608,000 Michigan residents employed in the industry and the hundreds of local communities that support it.
In addition to presenting Vantage Plastics with the MFG Community Impact Award, the MFG Excellence Awards will also present Governor Rick Snyder with the MFG Leadership Award and recognize some of the Michigan’s most renowned brands for their unwavering support of manufacturing. The John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year Award — an industry staple since 1981 — and awards for lifetime achievement, emerging leader, talent champion and innovation excellence will also be presented.
