Our Story

Founded in 1996, Vantage Plastics originated in Standish, MI, initiated by Paul Aultman and a small team. Our modest beginnings encompassed a 45,000-square-foot plastics thermoforming facility with three rotary thermoforming machines, lacking quality certifications and minimal business acquisitions. By 2005, a 22,000-square-foot warehouse was annexed to safeguard customer products pre-shipment. Additionally, a 5,000-square-foot office space was established to accommodate expanded engineering and customer service personnel.

Establishing a new venture, Airpark Plastics, in 2007 marked Vantage Plastics' expansion journey. This initiative followed the acquisition of plastic sheet extrusion equipment and production assets from a Canadian firm. Transferring this equipment to a newly acquired 24,000-square-foot facility adjacent to our existing premises expanded our product range and bolstered production and customer service capabilities significantly.
Our expansion continued in 2012 with the acquisition of one of the world's largest thermoforming machines. Accommodating this innovation, we constructed a 12,000-square-foot addition, signaling further growth and innovation.

Within a short span, a new expansion unfolded with the construction of additional facilities housing extra extrusion lines. These new facilities, seamlessly integrated with the main production unit, streamlined logistics by ensuring easy access to plastic sheets for our thermoforming machines. Consequently, our operational space surged, surpassing 158,000 square feet.
The company's flourishing growth and an influx of new employees prompted the necessity for further space. Responding to this need, an additional 8,500 square feet were allocated for maintenance and an employee breakroom. Subsequently, in 2017, recognizing the ongoing business expansion, we augmented our infrastructure with an additional 40,000 square feet dedicated to warehouse and shipping. Yet, the most substantial expansion was on the horizon.

In 2023, our most ambitious expansion project commenced—a monumental leap for Vantage Plastics. Acquiring an abandoned facility in Bay County, MI, we embarked on its extensive renovation, envisioning it as the cornerstone of our future endeavors. Spanning an impressive 350,000 square feet, this space now houses three cutting-edge thermoforming machines, nine injection molding machines, as well as comprehensive facilities for tooling, recycling, and extrusion, all united under one colossal roof.
From its inception, Vantage Plastics has maintained a trajectory of consistent growth. Today, boasting a lineup of 15 thermoforming machines, injection molding capabilities, plastic extrusion lines, robust recycling programs, advanced engineering design tools, testing equipment, and an expanded workforce, we've fortified our ability to serve customers across diverse markets with greater efficiency than ever before. Our relentless dedication has solidified us as your premier integrated and innovative plastic manufacturer.
