Danielle's mom, Danielle, her aunt, and grandmother

It is with great pleasure to introduce Danielle Dierich one of our special team members. Danielle has been with our team for seven years as of May 2025. As our world has developed certain subject areas require the focus of specialized individuals. Danielle serves in such a capacity and holds the title of “Information Support Specialist/ Accounts Receivable Specialist.” She started with Vantage Plastics as an intern while attending Saginaw Valley State University. When she entered the university right out of High School, she planned to become a math teacher which she had thought she wanted to do ever since her grade school years. Danielle stated, “I had a lot of great teachers, and I liked them as I grew up, so I emulated the careers they had and the impact they made. However, in my fourth year at the university I took a programing course and really liked it. So, I switched my focus to computer science.” From youth Danielle gravitated to interesting things she always enjoyed math, putting puzzles together, avid reading, and generally investigating a wide array of stimulating subject areas. Finding programming to be enjoyable due to its similarity to putting puzzles together Danielle graduated from SVSU with a master’s degree in computer science.

Danielle resides in the Saginaw area near her mother and father in a house with her grandmother Lucille. While her brother lives down state they keep in close contact. Asked about what she likes about working with the team at the Vantage Plastics family of companies Danielle says, “I feel like I matter, the culture is family oriented, and I really like what I do. I started as an intern, and it has let me grow in my career and learn so much. I particularly like certain aspects of my work like report writing and the variety of things I get to work on. Being part of the finance team has let me learn much more about the financial aspects of business and all that is involved. I commute around a hundred miles a day so that must tell you something about how much I enjoy the company and its team.”

It gets very fascinating when Danielle is asked about what she does in her personal life such as hobbies and other pursuits. Danielle pursues a wide array of unique endeavors. A few of the things she does include reading mystery stories and thrillers especially those by author Stephen King. In addition, she listens to True Crime podcasts, plays video games, goes to shows, musicals, movies generally with a network of friends. She is a particular fan of Marvel superhero productions and most recently traveled to Chicago to attend The Comic Con C2 E2 event with friends that live in Chicago. Danielle says, “I play both individual video games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Hogwarts Legacy, but I also play online games like Marvel’s Rivals with friends. In fact, online gaming is how I met my friends in Chicago. Over time we have become as close as family and we do a lot of fun face to face things together.” This is another fascinating new way that social connections are being made in today’s era of technology.

As we dive deeper into her hobbies Danielle has some very specialized pursuits. Putting together Lego sets is something she finds fun and greatly enjoys. In a very specialized hobby, she also collects high end action figures of Marvel movie characters that are hand sculpted. These are items she pre-orders and may take up to a year before receiving. Over time she has amassed quite a collection of these figurines. Danielle certainly likes the Marvel stories and says she often reads online comics during her lunch breaks.

Asked about the world of IT Danielle says, “The shift in technology is crazy. It will be fun to see where it goes in the future. Artificial Intelligence is cool as a concept. It has such a broad branch of topics across so many areas. It will be interesting to see where it will lead as we go forward.” At the Vantage Plastics family of companies Danielle serves in the background in her own quiet way and fills a very important role. She is always there when any of us need help with our computers, programs, reports, and other technical issues that can be sources of stress. It is a great relief to receive her help for so many of us when technical issues arise. As a team member of the Vantage Plastics family of companies Danielle Dierich is clearly helping us fulfill our mission of Forming Better Lives, Forming Solutions, and Forming Sustainable Futures.
