We focus this event on educating the students about what manufacturing is and giving them a first-hand look at how our products are made from start to finish. The students tour the Vantage Plastics facility and discover the diverse departments a manufacturing plant has. One of our main objectives is to show the students the many careers and jobs that a manufacturing company presents . Paul Aultman, President of Vantage Plastics, says, “There’s a lot more to manufacturing than what you see when you drive by. I want these students to know that you don’t have to move away to develop a successful career, we provide great opportunities right here in our community.”
There was information presented and employees involved that included our President, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Operations, Director of Sales, Continuous Improvement Manager, Engineers, Sales Engineers, Application Engineers, Production Supervisors, Production Managers, Production Technicians, Scheduling, IT, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, and many others.
It was an effort by the entire Vantage Plastics team, and it is always a rewarding experience to teach the students about the incredible things a manufacturing plant can do. Our goal is to continue to find ways to keep our community connected and inspire our youth about all the opportunities available for them.
