It is a delight to introduce Megan Osier the Sales Engineering Manager at Vantage Plastics. In this position Megan manages the Sales Engineering team which sits at the center of the process wheel as they work with all departments from field sales to shipping. Since Vantage Plastics is a custom thermoformer many projects begin with the Sales Engineering Manager assigning a designer to develop a concept drawing. This concept drawing provides the build of material that allows Sales Engineering to develop a quote. When a customer then places an order the Sales Engineering area enters the order and follows a project management process to keep the project on target for customer delivery. Most customers will interact with Megan at some point during their relationship with Vantage Plastics. Our field force team that service customers directly rely on up-to-the-minute information from Sales Engineering to keep customers informed. Megan brings a strong customer service orientation to this position and is focused on providing exceptional experiences. She is an integral member of the Vantage Plastics family and does a great job of keeping things on track. At times this can involve helping to manage 250 -300 projects at any given time.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with family and is very committed to exercise and fitness. She teaches a fitness class twice a week and gets involved in competitive running as she is able. In addition to running, she enjoys many other outdoor activities from games with her family to going off-roading in the family ATV Razor. As a community service, Megan has helped organize the Halloween 5K run as a fundraiser for the WELL outreach programs several times.
Megan lives on a mini-farm featuring fainting goats, chickens, and ducks with her husband Joe, daughter Stella age 4, and son Noah age 1. Placing a strong value on family, she remains in the Standish area where she grew up and has many extended family ties. Megan joined the Vantage Plastics team approximately eleven years ago shortly after graduating from Saginaw Valley State University with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. Prior to joining full-time, she completed an internship with Vantage Plastics’ accounting department while still attending SVSU. During her eleven years at Vantage Plastics Megan has been a great help in fulfilling our mission of Forming Better Lives, Forming Solutions, and Forming Sustainable Futures.
